About Me

Who I am

I’m Jenna Dunnuck, a marketing student at the University of South Florida with a real interest in creativity, people, and how ideas turn into something meaningful. I’ve always been drawn to marketing because it blends strategy with storytelling, it’s not just about selling, it’s about connecting.
Right now, I’m focused on learning as much as I can and gaining real experience that helps me understand how brands operate in the real world. Long term, I want to build something of my own and use creativity in a way that feels intentional and impactful.
Outside of school, life is pretty simple in the best way. I spend time with my kitten Buck, who keeps things entertaining and grounded.
I’m someone who likes exploring new places, new ideas, and figuring things out as I go. Whether it’s through travel, hands-on projects, or everyday experiences, I’m always trying to grow and see things differently.
At the end of the day, I just want to do work I’m proud of, work that feels real, connects with people, and actually means something.
Where I Grew Up
Growing up on the east coast of Florida, I developed a deep appreciation for the beauty and diversity of my surroundings. Spending time at the beach and being around the ocean sparked a lifelong curiosity about marine life and everything happening beneath the surface. For a long time, I dreamed of becoming a marine biologist, fascinated by the complexity of aquatic life and the idea of discovering something new in the unknown.
While my career path has shifted, that same sense of curiosity and exploration has stayed with me. As I’ve moved into marketing, I’ve started to see clear parallels between marine ecosystems and human behavior. Just as marine biologists study patterns and relationships within the ocean, I’m drawn to understanding consumer behavior and the way people interact with brands and ideas.
That early love for discovery still shows up in how I approach marketing today. It’s less about leaving that curiosity behind and more about redirecting it, using it to better understand people, connect ideas, and find meaning in how brands communicate and grow.
